Instructor: Shelly Voykin

As an employee of the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan, Shelly developed, researched best practices, interpreted and implemented policy. She worked closely with dental practices to develop training programs and deliver training.

As the corporation’s health specialist, Shelly led NTPC and NT HYDRO through COVID-19. She developed the policies and procedures, negotiated with the corporations’ unions, and arranged contractors during corporate emergencies in one of the most restrictive environments during the COVID-19 Pandemic. There were no infections in any NT HYDRO office on her watch.

Shelly’s COVID-19 program was recognized by the federal government. The program she developed to protect remote communities provided the framework for the recommendations the Federal developed for essential service providers.
